Our School Facilities

The school is situated at 4 rue du Commandant Schlœsing near La Place du Trocadéro, in the 16th district.

This location was chosen because of its close proximity to parks, and other community facilities, with easy access to public transportation and metro stations (Line 6 and 9 – Metro Trocadéro).

Students have weekly supervised access to a public library, and various sports facilities in the 16th district. Other community partnerships include an atelier de cuisine, and an atelier de couture.

The student-teacher ratio is 20:1.

Student Observation Day

The ECB-CBS offers a Student Observation Day for all interested families.

The student observation day is a way for students to spend the day at the school, become familiar with school facilities, observe classes, meet with teachers, and get to know other students.

Becoming familiar with the facilities, and the school culture, will give parents a better understanding of what their child’s daily life at the school will be like.

The student observation day is open to all students, in preschool, and in Kindergarten to Grade 12. Students are welcome to attend a half-day, or a full-school day. Classes begin at 8:30am until 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Our Faculty

The school’s teaching faculty hold valid British Columbia Certificates of Qualifications, certified by the Ministry of Education.

All of our teachers are native speakers of English or French. Our teachers are trained as generalists in our primary program, and as subject-specialists in our middle and secondary programs.

Each member of our teaching faculty will ensure that the highest standards of academic and personal achievements are realized. Our teachers encourage our students to embrace the experience of learning, nurturing each student’s unique learning needs. Teachers personalise learning in all subjects to ensure students can realise their full potential.

Our student-teacher ratio is 20:1. Our smaller class sizes promote personalized learning, high academic achievement, and an environment that supports the well being of each of our students.
